The Wethersfield High football team suffered its first defeat of the season, losing at New Canaan, 27-14, in the Class L Large semifinal at Dunning Field on Saturday. New Canaan quarterback Michael Collins threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Kyle Smith and a five-yard touchdown pass to Michael Kraus in the second quarter.
