Someone with a black marker and a bright red one vandalized doors, walls and windows of various businesses through much of downtown New Canaan on Monday Dec. 1. Police say they first received a call about the graffiti at 9:11 p.m. from a 51-year-old New Canaan man who noticed vandalism on Elm and Park streets - at doors for numbers 66, 76 and 86 Elm. Unintelligible graffiti tags were put on doors or buildings for Starbucks and Radio Shack.
