Woman's ID stolen, used to acquire credit card

A New Canaan woman learned last week that her name was used to open a credit card account and more than $2,000 worth of iTunes gift cards was purchased with it, police said. The Oenoke Ridge resident said she received a statement from Walmart MasterCard Nov. 5 detailing a number of gift card purchases in Milford, according to the report.
