Winter's cold grip on Fairfield County will not loosen over the weekend, and a wintry mix is expected to move into the area just in time for the Monday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service. High temperatures on Friday will top out at 30 degrees, but wind gusts will bring wind chill values down to 15 to 20. Temperatures will dip into the low teens Friday night and will rebound to only to about 23 degrees on Saturday despite sunny skies.
