After a wait of more than a year, plans for a proposed permanent post office in New Canaan filed with the town last week show a two story brick Federal-style structure , which proposers view as within the acceptable spectrum of New Canaan's architectural styles. A black and white rendering of the proposed permanent post office, filed last week with the Planning & Zoning Department, shows a two-story brick Federal-style structure with a total of 8,220 square feet, which proposers assert is in keeping with New Canaan's downtown architectural aesthetic.
