Following the lead of Baltimore Police, New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski has warned New Canaan's police force to be aware of a purported alliance between gangs to "take out" members of law enforcement. The threat, which Baltimore police call "credible," has apparently taken shape in the wake of unrest in the Maryland city following the death of Freddie Gray , a 25-year-old black man who suffered severe injuries and died last week after being taken into police custody.
