A hedge fund manager who orchestrated a Ponzi scheme that bilked hundreds of millions of dollars from investors and creditors was sentenced Thursday to 13 years in prison. Francisco Illarramendi, 45, a former New Canaan resident who ran the operation out of Stamford-based funds, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Stefan R. Underhill in Bridgeport to 156 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release.
