A New Canaan man sent several text messages to his estranged wife, violating a protective order she has against him, said New Canaan police, who arrested him. Police said the woman, 41, now a Ridgefield resident, went to New Canaan police headquarters and showed police several text messages from Jason Kempf, 37, of Forest Street.
