Brokaw, who has multiple myeloma, will be presented the Spirit of Hope Award at the foundation's annual fall gala in Greenwich. The fundraiser will be emceed by Brian Williams , a New Canaan resident, who is the anchor and managing editor of "NBC Nightly News" and a member of the foundation's honorary board of directors.
