Sally B. Kaltman, owner of Sallea Antiques on Elm Street in New Canaan, stands in her shop holding an English pear-shaped tea caddie made of polished fruitwood circa 1780 to 1800. Kaltman has announced that her store, Sallea Antiques, will be closing in August, and a liquidation sale began on May 14. The store is currently holding a retirement sale to liquidate every item including tea caddies, fitted boxes, crystal and glass, desk accessories, fireplace accessories, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, brass, silver and silverplate, objects of vertu, games, timepieces, and antique furniture, according to a letter from owner Sally B. Kaltman .
