Audit: 'Incredible turnaround' in New Canaan's finances

For the second consecutive year, New Canaan's accounting practices have shown significant improvement, according to a recently released independent audit. Marcia Marien, an accountant with O'Connor Davies, a regional certified public accounting and consulting firm, told the Town Council on Dec. 17 that "we are down to essentially no material weaknesses" and "no significant deficiencies."
