A man who police said was involved in the smash-and-grab robbery at a New Canaan jewelry store a year ago committed suicide Halloween night, police said Thurday. Ralik Hansen, 28, shot himself in Brooklyn Oct. 31 after a delivery person knocked on his front door and he "erroneously thought it was the police coming to get him," according to a news release.
