Julie Thaxter-Gourlay will play the presiding judge in the courtroom drama "A Time To Kill," which kicks off the Town Players of New Canaan's 2014-15 season. This is the first time this character will be played by a woman, as the New Canaan, Conn.-based theater company gained permission from John Grisham, who wrote the book, and Rupert Holmes, the playwright who adapted it to the stage.
