An elderly New Canaan man drove his vehicle to within inches of a Greenwich police officer on traffic duty during a dispute Wednesday morning, police said. Frank B. Mcbrearity, 72, of 27 Turtle Back Lane, was arrested and charged with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer and failure to obey an officer's signal.
