Heavy rains will move into Fairfield County on Wednesday night and could cause flooding in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. The chance for precipitation will increase steadily after noon Wednesday with the heaviest precipitation scheduled to arrive after 9 p.m. Up to 2 inches of rainfall is possible.
