An unattended candle may be to blame for a fire that destroyed a cottage on Michigan Road late Wednesday, March 19. New Canaan Police found $8,000 in stolen merchandise as well as tools used to disable security devices in a vehicle used by a group of suspects wanted in connection with robbing a Radio Shack.
