Artists have been coming to the Silvermine Arts Center, http://www.silvermineart.org located on Silvermine Road in New Canaan since 1908 when sculptor Solon Borglum established it as a place for artists to congregate, work and share. In 1922 the Silvermine Guild of Artists was established and formally incorporated in 1924.
