The New Canaan Historical Society will be celebrating its 125th anniversary with a yearlong celebration of programs and activities, including their family-oriented Colonial Day, Saturday, Oct. 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on the grounds of the Historical Society. Colonial Day will kick off with a costumed Fife & Drum corps, military drill, spinning and weaving exhibitions, Colonial games and activities such as candle-making and quill writing, Colonial dances, general store, and refreshments.
