A jumper cable valued at $400 was stolen from the Gulf gas station, 36 South Ave., New Canaan, Feb. 1. A 30-year-old Gulf employee called New Canaan police at 7:09 p.m. saying a man had come to the station at about 5:30 p.m. asking to buy a jumper cable, police said.
