More Snow Accumulation Now Predicted For New Canaan

Since early this morning the National Weather Service has upped its snowfall accumulation for the area as more cold air is expected to keep more of the precipitation as snow on Monday as opposed to mixed precipitation. This morning the National Weather Service predicted 1-3 inches of snow and ice accumulation as the precipitation was expected to mainly be a mixed bag.

Meteorologist: 'No Doubt' That Storm Will Disrupt Monday In New Canaan

A winter weather storm is once again in the forecast for the start of the week, and one local meteorologist believes it will disruptive enough to cancel school and disrupt the commute, yet again, on a Monday morning. "The roads are going to be slippery [Monday], there is no doubt," said Gary Lessor, assistant director of the Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.

Snow and Ice Accumulation Prediction Made for New Canaan

The National Weather Service is predicting there will be precipitation falling for the next 18 hours or so and all we're expecting to receive is an accumulation of 1-3 inches of snow, and a quarter inch of ice accumulation. The National Weather Service has posted a Winter Weather Advisory for the area and states in its bulletin, that a light mix precipitation will develop today and grow steader this evening and continue into Monday morning before ending late Monday.
