Seven Fairfield County towns and cities were among the Top 10 total taxpayers in Connecticut for 2013, according to The Hartford Courant. Those Top 10 municipalities -- Greenwich, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport and Fairfield along with Milford, Glastonbury and West Hartford -- paid nearly $2.18 billion to the state in taxes, the Courant said.
